 | CalWater PAC allows businesses in the water community to pool resources. CalWater PAC’s board decides how and to whom funds are distributed. The decision to support a candidate is unbiased, and the amount of money granted to a candidate is not associated with the way an elected official votes on specific legislation. IS THERE A NEED? The need for this PAC has never been greater. Water is among the most important issues in California. We all recognize the connection between supporting good candidates for public office and good public policy. In order for the water community to succeed in providing a long-term, safe, reliable water supply at reasonable cost, we must elect good people at the state level and keep them in office. That takes money and we are in a unique position to support the water community in that regard. WHO IS INVOLVED? Members of the CalWater PAC represent a broad cross-section of the water community from the private sector. In our professional careers, we work to support California's water industry and are each active within that community. We hope and expect to work with those interested in California water issues from around the state, from north to south, agricultural to urban.
